The Maruti Suzuki e-Vitara is set to be launched soon, likely within the next few weeks. It's an electric version of the popular Vitara model, offering a greener alternative to traditional fuel-powered cars. Expect more details about the car's features and pricing to be revealed closer to the launch date.
Maruti Suzuki revealed the e-Vitara at the 2025 Bharat Mobility Global Expo, and it will be officially launched in the coming weeks. The electric SUV has been seen testing a lot lately, building excitement for its release. The e-Vitara is made with over 50% strong steel, making it sturdy. It has a wheelbase of 2,700 mm, which gives it a stable and roomy feel. It is also expected to do well in safety tests, making it a safe choice for buyers.
The Maruti Suzuki e-Vitara will also be the base for a similar electric car from Toyota, which will be launched later this year. Both cars will be made at Maruti’s factory in Gujarat and sold in India and other countries. To compete with rivals like the Hyundai Creta Electric, Tata Curvv EV, Mahindra XUV400, MG ZS EV, and Mahindra XEV 9e, the e-Vitara is built on a strong platform called e-Heartect.
The e-Vitara will be available in a variety of colour schemes namely Arctic White, Opulent Red, Land Breeze Green with a Bluish Black Roof, Bluish Black, Arctic White Pearl with Bluish Black Pearl, Splendid Silver with a Bluish Black Roof, Grandeur Grey, Nexa Blue, Splendid Silver and Opulent Red with a Bluish Black Roof. The Maruti Suzuki e-Vitara will come in three versions: Delta, Zeta, and Alpha. This five-seater electric SUV will have a comfortable and well-equipped interior. It will feature a 10-way adjustable driver seat, advanced safety features (Level 2 ADAS), and a big touchscreen for entertainment and controls.
The e-Vitara will come with standard safety features like six airbags. It will also have a fully-digital display for important driving information. Other features include a Harman audio system, a 360-degree camera for easier parking, ventilated seats for the driver and front passenger, a panoramic sunroof, sporty alloy wheels, and more.
The Maruti Suzuki e-Vitara will offer two battery options: a 48.8 kWh and a larger 61.1 kWh, with a claimed range of over 500 km. The all-wheel-drive version will be available only in international markets, while Indian buyers will get a front-wheel-drive version. The entry-level Delta trim will come with the smaller 48.8 kWh battery, while the Zeta and Alpha trims will allow customers to choose between the two battery sizes.
